Tutoring Under The Trees

Watch the horses graze, hear the birds call out to each other and maybe even spy an emu walking past, all while engaging in meaningful learning activities to support literacy development.

We can provide support with...

How is this experience different to other tutoring?

By bringing our learning outside, into the natural world, we not only experience all the benefits of being out in the fresh air with nature, but we also provide room for children to move as they learn. Our tutoring sessions don't look like a standard classroom literacy session, and will work with the needs of the student to provide maximum engagement and, hopefully, enjoyment too.

While some written work will occur sitting down, if the student prefers to investigate the paddock, climb the stepping logs or just run or walk around the space as we work together, they will be encouraged to do so.

Please note that Tutoring Under The Trees sessions do not include direct interaction with the horses. If the horses or chickens choose to interact, and the student feels comfortable, they are welcome to, however it is not the focus of the sessions.  If you're interested in literacy support while also including direct interaction with the horses, please contact us to discuss whether we can accomodate this.
